Tour of Lights

Wow, what a turn out for a 28 degree night in Texas. Thank you everyone who attended the Tour of Lights event on tonight, as well as all of you who participated in the cake walk. I know it was cold, but what a bunch of troopers.

I hope everyone had a great time driving around in the warm limo looking at all of the lights. I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

If you would like a copy of any of the pictures in the slide show please email me with the number below the slide and I will send you the full file.

Community Garage Sale

Do you need to make some extra money before Christmas? Need to get rid of some of the extra clutter around the house? Clean out the garage and all of your closets, we are having a garage sale!!

The community garage sale will be on Saturday, November 8th. We will be putting signs out around the community, advertising in the newspaper, and putting a post on Craig's List.

The City of McKinney does require that everyone get a Garage sale permit, please do so as soon as possible. http://www.mckinneytexas.org/homeright.asp?aid=144&id=2395&did=1107

For the residents who have alleys, please have your sale in your front yard in order to keep traffic flowing. You can determine what time you would like to start and end your sale, recommended hours would be from 8am-dark.

Business Directory

The businesses within the community are putting together a mailer for the residence of Brookstone. If you are interested in being in this mailer please contact Erica.Wink@gmail.com for more details. (All information is due in by September 1st)

Brookstone Playdates

I know we have many SAHM (and dads) in the community, including myself, so why not all get together. There have been post on the Brookstone message boards (www.BrookstoneMcKinney.com) asking for a playground, so let's try to get one started.

Let's all meet on the playground Tuesday, September 9th at 10am. We can further discuss then what we want to do in the future. I hope you and your little one(s) can make it, I would hate to be the only one on the playground. =)

Bunko Night

We are going to have our first Bunko party on September 18th for the community. Bunko starts at 7pm, and it will be $5 to enter. All of the money goes towards the prizes to be given away at the end of the night. If you do not know how to play this will be a great opportunity because we will teach you!! Bunko is open to everyone of all ages. If you are interested in playing or have any questionsplease contact Erica at Erica.Wink@gmail.com. Please contact me ASAP so we can make arrangment for everyone, and know how many people to expect.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!
